Natalie has been teaching cake decorating at The Cake College since 2015 and shares all of her knowledge and skills gained as a professional cake artist over the last eight years.

Whether you want to learn the basics of how to cover a cake, how to make a sugar rose or even a pretty edible teacup, there's a class for everyone.

The Classroom

The Cake College is located in a beautiful Grade II* Georgian farmhouse close to Reading, within 10 minutes drive of train stations and easy reach of the M4 and M3.  We are close to the Hampshire, Surrey, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire borders, so easily accessible for these counties.  

For those coming from further afield, Reading and Wokingham train stations are within a few miles, and Heathrow airport is only half an hour away.  Plenty of off street parking is available and if you need to book a hotel or taxi, we are happy to help with that.

Private Tuition

Occasionally we get asked if we can provide a one-to-one teaching experience and the answer is a resounding yes - we love doing this. Natalie can design and create a lesson plan depending on what you're looking to learn and she will come to you, in your own home, so you can bake using your own oven and your own equipment. If you don't have some of the things needed that's also not a problem as Natalie will bring them with her.

Whether you want to learn how to bake the perfect Victoria sponge, how to get a level cake and cover in fondant or even how to make a wedding cake, the possibilities are endless. Because these one-to-one classes are specifically designed for you it's hard to provide an exact price, but you can expect to pay a minimum fee of £450 (plus costs) for eight hours of Natalie's time.
