So, you want to know a little bit more about Cuppies ‘n’ Cream. We get that, we really do. If we were looking to buy a bespoke cake then we'd absolutely want to know a little bit more about who we'd be ordering from and what they were like. Without repeating what you may have already read on the home page, Cuppies ‘n’ Cream is a home-based bakery run by Natalie. We say home-based but it’s probably also worth mentioning that we do have our own dedicated studio where we get to squirrel away baking lots of delicious cakes and making endless sugar flowers and cute edible cake toppers.

We're completely self-taught having learnt most of our baking skills from our Grandparents or through trusting that good old bakers instinct that some of us are lucky enough to have instilled in us. We adore using natural fruits and flavours and try to avoid using any artificial additives or flavourings. Our favourite cake flavour is chocolate orange fudge cake and we're also a bit addicted to a good old lemon drizzle too.

As a general rule we're also very selective about how many cake commissions we accept and limit our bookings to just one wedding order a week. So if you make a booking with us you can guarantee that your cake will have our sole undivided love and attention.

Why Cuppies ‘n’ Cream?

Bold statement, but your cake will be perfect! Every cake that leaves our kitchen will be exactly as you dream it to be. We’re perfectionists and incredibly critical of our own work meaning your cake will be flawless.

Our cake & cupcake flavour lists are huge! We’ve considered reducing them & staying simple, but when we did, we had people asking where certain flavours had gone! So, our motto is this; if you have a flavour in mind, we can bake it! No flavour is impossible…

Cakes are fragile and they need a lot of TLC. This is why we exclusively deliver all of our cakes at no extra cost to you. This means you don’t have to worry about transporting & getting them safely to where they need to be.

Put simply a cake is a cake and we don’t charge any extra just because the word ‘wedding’ comes over in an enquiry form. All of our cakes are important and no matter the occasion, each one receives the same amount of love. We charge on time taken to create, that’s it.

What does Cuppies mean?

Believe it or not this is a question we get asked a lot! Long story short, Cuppies is very simply short for cupcakes. That's it! When Cuppies 'n' Cream first launched in 2011 we only made cupcakes and never imagined that we'd also end up making tiered cakes too. We genuinely love the name Cuppies 'n' Cream and as the company grew we wanted to stay true to our roots and that meant sticking with it. We loved it so much that when Natalie launched her Food and Travel blog in 2014 she called that Hello Cuppies! :-)

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the process for ordering a cake or cupcakes?

We recommend that you make an initial enquiry by email to natalie@hellocuppies.com or by using the form on this websites contact page, giving us your date, delivery location, how many people you would like to feed and any design ideas so we can give you a rough price guide. Then we can provide a firm quote. To confirm your order, a deposit is payable, with the balance being due two weeks before the event.

Can I choose a mix of flavours for my cake?

Yes, of course, in fact we encourage it! Any cake with multiple tiers can have different flavours for each tier.

What are your deposit and payment terms?

We do take a deposit on all orders which is non-refundable, except in exceptional circumstances. This is purely to cover the costs of cancellation and turning further orders away. Once your deposit has been paid this secures your slot in the diary. If your order is within two weeks of delivery we ask for full payment upfront which is non-refundable. Final wedding payments are due two weeks before the wedding date. We will send one reminder for a deposit or remaining balance payment but after that, if no payment has been received by the deadline, and we have had no contact with you, your order will be considered cancelled and the slot will be offered to another customer. We work on a first come first served basis so if we don’t receive a deposit the cake is not secured. Once a deposit is secured you will receive a full receipt which will state the remaining balance due and the date to be paid by. Again we will send one reminder only for final payment, and if no payment is received without any contact your slot will be cancelled and offered to the next customer.

Can you provide nut free cakes?

Whilst we do our best to provide cakes and cupcakes for all food intolerances and allergies nut-free is one we can't guarantee as we do use nuts in our kitchen. We can use nut-free ingredients for you but there will always be a small risk of cross-contamination.

What about cancellations?

As your cake/cupcakes booking is reserved solely for you and certain components for your cake(s) may be ordered months in advance, the following conditions are implemented when an order is cancelled:
More than 60 days full refund minus deposit
Between 30-60 days half refund, minus deposit
Within 3 weeks – If you have to cancel your order for any reason, you will be liable to pay for any special order items, and for any work that has been started. In addition if a wedding cake is cancelled within 1 week of the wedding date the full outstanding balance will be payable. In the unlikely event we are unable to make your cake due to illness we will try our best to get you a replacement baker. If that is not possible you will of course be issued with a full refund. Non payment of an invoice will also mean your order will be cancelled. Full payment is always upfront and in advance of the delivery date.

Are you insured and council inspected?

Absolutely! We have public liability insurance with a £2 million coverage limit and we're proud that we've gone through 3 hygiene inspections in the last 8 years and scored 5/5 every.single.time.

You will find us on the Wokingham Council website but we're happy to email a copy of our certificate if needed. We have undertaken various hygiene courses which means we're also Level 2 qualified.
